Was sitting at the computer tonight and it simply shut off. Checked things out and didn't lose power to the house.

When I attempted to reboot, it simply got stuck at the bios mobo logo screen (ASUS Crosshair logo) and will not go further. I cannot access the bios. I tried clearing the CMOS.
I get one beep and everything else seems fine and dandy. All the fans are working and all the lights are on.

Ideas? Bad mobo? Would a bad HD cause this? It's fairly new. A bad HD would still allow the system to at least go to the BIOS, yes?

Thanks for your time.

Yes. Try another PSU. Also, try removing all sticks of ram except for one. If you don't have another PSU, you could unplug all drives and vidcard power (if your card still works without it), then see if it'll POST.
