Ok here is the issue: I have a home network with a router and a switch which is hooked into a RCA modem supplied by Comcast. I have no connectivity I have removed the router and switch and run from cable modem to the computer and still have no activity. I even switched out the cables. I am able to ping 127.0.0.1 fine but nothing else so I assume that the network card is fine. is there another way to check that the card is ok. PLease help I am on AoHell . Windows firewall is off althought this was working about 2 hours ago just fine.

Is your internet connection alright? Are all the lights on the modem on? Comcast is upgrading a lot of stuff right now and with the next two days that could be causing some problems...

Otherwise, can you try to connect another PC to it and see if it works?

Man, that would suck if you went through all this trouble shooting just to find out your internet service is temporarily down!

Place a call to your ISP...Get put on hold...

While on hold....Do the basics (Connect directly from Modem to one comp, check the NIC)

When done...continue to wait on hold....
