I have a 8800 GTS 512MB video card. It has 2 DVI ports. Is it possible to get a DVI to HDMI adapter and get audio to run through it? (i"m guessing no) What would you recommend as the best way to video & audio to my 1080p TV.

I'm thinking DVD to HDMI adapter and my S/PDIF audio out.

Thanks for you help

It is possible to do audio via DVI but according to WP its only in 200 series and later Nvidia cards.

SPDIF is probably the easiest way.

Before Nvidia incorporated an Audio Device on thier cards, they had an SPDIF input (2 pins). You had to connect it to an SPDIF output (many motherboards and most sound cards have them). It would them send that audio along with the vidio. It worked with DVI as well as HDMI but only supported 2 channel (If Dobly/DTS capable, then 5.1 via two channels but that's another story).
