HDMI audio delay

Hey all, I help out with general IT needs at a volunteer FD / EOC and need some guidance on audio visual hardware for the training classroom.

We are currently experiencing issues with audio delays from sources such as YouTube. The ads do not have any audio, and there is a slight 1 or 2 second delay before audio begins when playing videos. This also occurs on other videos.

Due to the length of the room, we decided to try out and utilize HDMI over ethernet extenders for the two front 55 inch tvs. We installed a single fiber optic HDMI cable across the length of the room thinking that was the original problem.

The Presenter PC connects to the OREI 8x8 matrix, then the outputs feed the tvs and projector, and lastly HDMI audio to the Denon.

The Denon AV receiver is connected to 4 ceiling speakers from JBL, these to be exact - JBL LCT 81C/T Low-Profile Lay-In 2 x 2' Ceiling Tile Loudspeaker.

We operate on a bit of a shoestring budget and was wondering is there any way to improve this, or what might be the cause of the initial audio delay when playing videos.

Please enjoy my crude MS Paint drawing.

The denon should have hdmi delay adjustment. If that doesn't work, use an analog L/R output from the matrix. Either way make sure the denon is in multi ch stereo mode and those speakers are set to transformer bypass/8 ohm mode.
