GTX 1070 DVI output problem

I have a Win10/Ubuntu/MacOS multiboot UEFI system. Recently my GTX 680 died and I replaced it with GTX 1070. Everything is fine, except the DVI output doesn't work during the boot up and in Windows and MacOS, but it works in Ubuntu, weirdly enough. Currently I'm using one of the DisplayPorts. I don't particularly mind it, but for some reason my Ubuntu doesn't like the DP output and I have to switch to DVI every time I boot into it.

Frankly, I'm baffled here and have no idea where to even start. What could be the problem? What steps should I take to troubleshoot the issue? Please advise.

P.S. My hardware is listed in my signature, but if anyone needs any additional info, I'll gladly provide it.
