I have a abit Av8 with a new castle 3500+ and a 9700 pro. My is stable with a fsb of 220 but my system crashes repeatedly due to my 9700 no longer responding. The Agp/PCi speed is locked so that doesn't seem to be the problem but everytime i overclock by gfx card stops responding if using 3d. Any help would be appreciated.

Loosen up you memory timings I dont think its your video card either. You are asking a lot of pc3200 memory.

is the agp lock working? I have a 9800pro and it is a happy camper all the way to 300mhz fsb.

the AV8 is a very very bad overclocking board, i had one and it was a joke in terms of OCIng my CPU. I have a DFI NF4 Ultra-D now and the difference is huge, its the same CPU and memory, just a different mobo and video card, but my CPU is much more stable. Heres some example with my 3500+ (not a great OCer).

Abit @ 11*218 1.525v - Prime Failure in ~10-30 seconds

DFI @ 11*218 1.525v - Prime failure in 15 minutes.

Abit @ 11*218 1.65v - Prime failure in ~7-10 minutes

DFI @ 11*218 1.55v - Prime stable for at least 1 hour, i stopped it after this.
