Good Base Pre-Built System Recommendations?

Hi!

I'm in a market for a new desktop. As much as I'd like to plunk down a few grand on a tricked-out PC, my usage pattern just doesn't justify it. I thought about building one from scratch, but -- on the other hand -- perhaps I can save some $$$ and time by buying a good base system from a quality integrator and upgrading it on my own over time.

Does anyone here have any recommendations? My main concerns are good case (not too big but enough to fit 3-4 HDDs), good MB for potential OC'ing, and future upgradeability of all main components (PS, MB, proc, etc.).

I saw VM's GX Holiday Edition (http://velocitymicro.com/wizard.php?iid=86) and it looks pretty good for what I need, but it doesn't ship until January and I'm itching for something to play around with during the holidays. :(

Meh... It seems they are all the same anymore for a pre built budget system unless you go to a vendor that's outside the mainstream rigs.

Dells are crap as far as ever upgrading, and HP... And.... Well.... They are all just crap.

But if I had no choice, I'd personally buy from K.I.S.
I've ordered many systems for customers from them, and they are always quality, and have good pricing. (I got 22 mid-range P4's from them this month).

The Vector Holiday Edition is our value champ, and it's going to be pretty tough to beat for the price. I'll grant you the lead time is a long time to wait, but it's partially how we can offer them for the price. If time is a factor, the Gamers' Edge 1500 is a good bit more money, but you won't need to upgrade a thing for a good while. The regular Vector is also a great price for a basic system, and has a shorter lead time. If you place an order, you can usually ask the sales team for a faster ship date and we'll do everything we can to accommodate you.
