Since the past couple of days I've noticed my mouse and my applications will hang/stall for about a second or so. I try to have my task manager open and organized by CPU process to see whats happening but when this happens its so fast I can barely make out all the shifting image names at the top to tell what might be the culprit.
The only thing that stands out is services.exe but I haven't been able to locate anywhere that might indicate it's a trojan. It seems to be the legit one from windows/system32/ folder.
If you guys could help me nail this down I'd really appreciate it. I run nod32 in the background for several weeks and never had a problem. I've shut it down recently to see if that helps but the short hangs still happen though it seems less frequently. I've defragged twice last night with Perfectdisk 8 trial and still have the problems.
I run a AMD x2 4400, gigabyte mobo, 1.5 gigs of ram, windows XP pro.
Thanks, Isurus
