How in god's name does one get 40 points BEFORE the x2 multiplier for winning as commander? No matter how many times I try I cannot manage to get 40 points. Is there some trick or easier way to do this cuz it's making me want to tear my hair out.
 
Try playing on maps that only have 8-12 soldiers per side - the round lasts longer allowing you to rack-up more points.
 
did they tweak the rank and badge and metal settings a while ago? Because i stoped playing for a while because it was just unplayable on my computer after one of the patches. And i started playing hard core about a month ago and i ranked up 3 ranks, got a crap load of badges and medals and i only played for about 15 hours or so....

I think they tweaked the ranking up settings.
 
they did back in fall of 2005 so that it was more reasonable to get ranks etc.

as for the link, it basically spells it out like this: the commander gets points from his teammates. if you have 32 people on your team, and a man gets a kill, you get 2/32 points. if he captures a flag, you get 1/32. if 5 people leave the server and a guy gets 3 kills, you get 6/27 points. it works by dividing the points that your teammates get by the number of players on your team. so the whole "you get commander points by spotting enemies and having ur team kill them" is false. thats why its better to be in a low man server that is on a large map (lots of flag switching = points for you) or one that has a high ticket ratio over 100%.
 
Awards are MUCH easier to get on empty-ish servers. I was in a 20 player game on the 64 player Karkand map...earned my Veteran Spec-Ops and Sniper badges easily. Pretty sure you can get armored ribbons easily that way too, since the game lasts for like 40 mins and you can go APC pwn. :D
