G2400WD wake up problem

Hi,

I was looking for a new 24" LCD monitor and after reading how everyone on HardOCP recommends G2400WD I decided to buy it! My first impressions of the monitor are very positive, looks good, performs good and even viewing angles are satisfactory (For a TN panel).
But I have a problem with it. Once I shutdown my computer, the monitor goes into sleep mode (like it should), but when computer stays shutdown for longer periods of time and I try to turn it on the monitor does not come on! I have to manually press the power button on the monitor off and then on again for it to come on. This is very weird as the monitor has no problem coming back on from sleep mode when computer is still running.

What do you guys think could be the problem?

Btw, I am using DVI input and my video card is geforce 6800GT. I did not have this problem with my old LCD.

Come on guys, I know there is definitely someone in the G2400W thread who had a similar problem, it just looks like they never posted if they fixed it or not.

You may want to ensure you are hooked up on port 1 of the video card. I had this problem with my first G2400W, and a little bit with my second one, but it went away when I connected it to my nVidia card, port1.

If it happens, tap the "Enter" key on it a few times and see if that resolves it as well. Sometimes these monitors seem to think other stuff is connected to them and auto-switch inputs without the user even knowing it.
