Just wondering, sorry if it sounded sarcastic :D. I've almost always used the rough side so perhaps that's why I never noticed anything.
 
Well when it came down to it, the icemat was just too much for my budget. And I really don't like the feel of the copperhead. I am getting the G5 for free anyhow with gift cards to CompUSA and they don't carry the copperhead or that would have been a factor. I have the 14" F30 on the way from the egg. :)
