My wife's computer got some water on the keyboard, and although I tried to dry it out, it is still not working. Some letters work, and some are stuck on (keep getting sticky keys pop ups). Here are a couple pictures that show the damage.




Does this mean that it shorted and can't be fixed? I can get one off of ebay for ~$10, so I'm not terribly concerned, but since I went to the effort of pulling off all of the keys & clips, I thought I would ask.
 
That's what happened to my laptop's keyboard. I was given a Dell B130 with a messed up keyboard, just like yours.

I just ended up getting a new one from Amazon.com for $11. Simple to install. Just go that route.
 
Get a new keyboard, they are cheap and only require taking off a few screws.

You should be happy it didn't ruin any of the components below the keyboard. :D
 
Yeah, at least they made the backing out of a solid piece. I ordered a full keyboard, less than $15 shipped. Now what to do with all of the keys/clips I took off...
