Anyone know of a light and free remote desktop software that I could use to connect to my laptop?

I disabled it because it's very unsecure, and doesn't have any good functions anyhowY2K SE said:XP Pro has one built in.

That's what I'm usingt00thless said:VNC is great. and look at hamachi if you're connecting to your laptop outside of you LAN.
Yeah, encryption isn't secure at all. And I sure do love having to click "Request Screen Refresh" with a 3rd party server/client!Tylerdurdened said:I disabled it because it's very unsecure, and doesn't have any good functions anyhow

Try mstsc /console. /f for full screen, /v:host.network for direct access, /h:height and /w:width for a little more control over individual shortcuts.
Aside from that, I use TightVNC when I have to...but what does it do that RD doesn't do? You're viewing a desktop in a window on another machine...what more do you want it to do?![]()

It shows the desktop on the remote machine. What more "functions" do you need?Tylerdurdened said:I disabled it because it's very unsecure, and doesn't have any good functions anyhow
