Free alternative to windows scan software?

I just installed the drivers for my Epson scanner, and I was wondering if there are any free alternatives to the built-in windows software. The only real thing that the windows software is missing is a quick copy button. I could try finding and installing the old xp software, but it never really worked that reliably in vista (crashed constantly).

Any TWAIN-capable programs should work. Most image/document editing software has TWAIN support.. even Paint.
