okay, so i need a floppy to install my raid drivers (i jsut got two raptors). i normally dont have a floppy drive, so i put mine in. The drive spins, and the light is on, but windows does not detect the floppy. I tested it on another computer, and it worked, so i loaded the files on to the floppy. I take the drive out of that computer and put it into mine and it still doesnt work. It does not detect the floppy disk in windows or in the raid setup when installing windows. whats going on here?!

enabled floppy in your bios did you?

EDIT: crap that sounds like Yoda doesnt it.

make sure your floppy cable and power cable are all the right way, try different combinations of upside down/rightside up, etc... a simple thing like a floppy can do weird things to a computer if it's not hooked up right.

well i got it to work, turns it out was 4 bad floppy cables! 5th times a charm!
