Fast and Silent System

this is kinda offtopic, and im kinda thread-jacking, but while were on the subject of OCing and AMDs different cores, could somebody who is very knowledgable on the different cores give me a brief overview of Venice vs. San Diego?

if this is too far offtopic, maybe the writer could simply send me a PM. im personally leaning towards a Venice, but id like to know what the main differences are between the two cores.

because it's helpful for a bunch of people, the only real difference is the cache size

San Diego = 1mb
Venice = 512kb

For a Power Supply I'd highly recommend the Enermax Noisetaker. It's the quietest component in my PC. Seriously... it's gotten great reviews.

For the video card, the NV5 Silencer worked good for me. Also, I got a cool fan controller (again Enermax) that I use to tone down the case fan (one 120mm Antec) when I'm not gaming. With all that it's pretty quiet.

Also I went with a Seagate HD. I read they're very quiet. I've found them to ge quiet.

and i agree on the Seagate. theyre extremely quiet and quick (not the very best in each category, but it holds its place very well. and it includes a 5 year warrenty :D )

Zalman ZM400B
