Eyefinity issue, need suggestions...

I set up my first attempt at eyefinity today and I am having a problem. I am using two monitors connected via DVI and one connected with a native displayport. I can set them up and get Eyefinity working properly, but whenever I shut the system down or put it into sleep mode it will not come back up. It powers on, the vid card (5850) fan getss stuck at full speed and nothing else happens. If I disconnect the displayport connection and restart, it boots back up. I can then reconnect the displayport connection and reconfigure Eyefinity and it will work fine until I power it down again. It will not boot back up with the displayport cable connected to the video card... The odd thing is that if I power it down with the displayport cable connected, the HD led on the case stays lit up, even if it is fully powered down. If I disconnect the dispayport cable from the monitor, the HD led goes out... That makes no sense to me. What am I missing or what am I ignorant of???
 
what drivers are you using? my guess is that the driver set is quirky. you might want to try a different one.
 
Are you saying it doesn't even post if the DP cable is hooked up? I haven't heard of anything like that.. my only suggestions would be to make sure nothing is grounding out on the case, possibly check if you can get a bios update for you video card, try a different DP cable.. I dunno..
 
I am using the latest drivers, but I doubt it is a driver issue. It happens at initial power up before the boot screen even appears. The drivers also wouldn't have anything to do with the HD LED staying on when the machine is powered off... Nothing is grounding. It boots up and runs just fine if the Displayport cable is disconnected.

I have discovered a work around, but it is a pita... if I unplug the monitor, or unplug the Displayport cable, until after the boot screen appears and plug it up at that point, it boots up fine and all three monitors work properly, Eyefinity and all, but that is really a pain...

As for a bios update, my card is a basic white box OEM, would that be a Sapphire made product?
