I'm having a problem with my EVGA P55 SLI and reading all 4gb (2x2gb) of RAM. I initially built my system Wednesday and after installing Windows and running the CPU Usage gadget I noticed that my system was only seeing 2gb. I did some trouble shooting, made sure I had the RAM in the right DIMM slots (1 and 3 on this board). I have tested both sticks to ensure that they are good by booting into Windows with each stick in DIMM slot #1. I decided that the problem was that DIMM slot #3 on the board was bad, so I went to my local PC store (CompuXparts) and picked up a replacement P55 SLI. This board read all 4gb of RAM just fine until this morning. I just finished playing some BFBC2 and noticed that the CPU Usage gadget is only showing 2gb. I rebooted and checked in the BIOS and sure enough - it's only seeing 2gb.
Does anyone have any experience with this issue on this board?
CPU-Z will report 4gb of RAM but it sees them in slots #1 and #2. If I look at my system properties, it reports 2gb of RAM.
