Could anyone take a top down picture with a cd or dvd laying right next to the eee PC? Better yet, just put a cd/dvd on top of the eee PC while it's closed.

I always wanted to see a size comparo. I really wanna get an eee PC, but I wanted to see how small it is.

Thanks!

ee pc looks pretty neat but I wish they had made the LCD fill the lid more fully

Happy New Years!

Woohoo. Thanks so much. That does wonders for size comparison.

Have an awesome New Years!:D

Wow, that screen is tiny. I dunno if I could get used to that. If it was the size of the whole lid and filled that space I think it would be better...but o well.

The biggest downer to me is hard drive space....i can live with a smaller screen...and theres probably no room to squeeze in a usb powered 2.5" HDD in there

how's the speed with the bootup and so forth?

its linux man :D

my complaint is the 800X600. that used to be the webpage minimum, these days its 1024X768, so you need a resolution of that or higher to surf comfertably.

Aside from that its cool. Any Vancouverites (BC, Canada) in this thread, if you wanna check one out, there are 2 in display (for full use by anyone) on the counter at NCIX's Broadway outlet.

did you mod your Eee Pc to fit a larger sdd or CF for XP?

Nope stock 4G.
Additionals 2GB ddr2 8GB SDHC card.

Boot time is around 30 seconds or so.
Very snappy for having xp on there.

Just installed RTCW plays awsome
