I was having the problems described in this thread
http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1030173186#post1030173186

Well I went ahead and ordered an Artic Cooler 7 and this is my new report using Orthos.

3.2Ghz @ 1.325 core V. Core temp's are 57-60 and Speedfan temps are 45-47. This seems pretty good to me just wanted to check and make sure.

I am also still having an odd descrepency where 1 of my cores will be 3-5 degrees cooler than the other. This doesn't really seem to affect anything and the difference doesn't seem to matter when it heats up.

Anyway can someone put my mind to ease and tell me my problems have been solved :p
Just wanting to make sure these temps seem normal!

sounds fine. you can check the conroe overclock db here to see what other guys are getting with your cpu/mb/ram. one of my cores is always 2 or 3 degrees cooler also.

My E6400@3.2GHz@1.3V runs at 48-50°C (coretemp) after 5hrs of Orthos, with TT Big Typhoon and the case open. I cant close the case because of the huge cooler. I also have a difference of 2°C between the 2 cores.

Anyway, i'm pretty sure under 60°C temps pose no problem, but you could try lowering vcore a bit to see if its stable.

I think your temps are fairly normal. I have a E64 running @ 3.3ghz 1.3815v. Core temps are right around 56-58, chalk it up to ninja vs af7 maybe?

Those temps are fine - Mine E6400 at 3.2 @ 1.35v reaches 55C on core temp - and that's on water!

I would say the real danger zone for Core temp is ~70C.

are these idle temps?

my temps are under load using Coretemp, and yes, the 2 cores differ a slight bit as well, just 1-3 degrees.

No. I'm a noob at it. It's a Corsair Nautilus 500 - the [H] review said it is fairly decent.

My temps are on load too. My cores differ by about 1-3 C as well.

I have a E6400 currently and thats about the temps I'm getting too.

It likes 3.2 but HATES 3.4, we're talking every bit of 1.4625+ and 70º at 3.4
