DVD burning problems

I'm having problems backing up some of my DVDs. I'm using the DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter guides on Doom9 and the burning process is fine. Almost every DVD I've done so far have had some problem. Sometimes the DVD can't navigate to the menu or form the menu to the movie. There is pixelation sometimes and every once and a while it jumps 10 seconds after lagging. On some it has stopped completely and the movie turns off. Also some have played fine the entire time until near the end where it goes to shit and chugs though it with green crap all over. I haven't watched all of them completely through but I know at least one didn't have a single problem.

I'm using Ritek 4x DVD-R that some people recommended on here with a Lite-On DL 8x burner. They also said that these disks would burn at 8x but I've tried setting it to MAX and 8x and they dont using DVD Decrypter. I've burned all of the rips at MAX so far.

I don't want to burn anymore of them if it keeps doing this. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

well, try burning one or two at 1x and see if those work. it may also be a read error on the disk, forcing the recompression to go to pieces and making green spots. try it with a really clean new disk and see if that helps.

Probably a media problem. Ritek quality has really gone down the shitter, especially the newer -R discs. Try a RiData or Fuji +R disc and see, as all Lite-Ons have a marked preference for +R discs.

Well damn people recommended these and they weren't very expensive. I don't really want to buy more becasue I have like 30 left so I guess I'll burn them slower.
