Well, I got this idea earlier today when my wireless connection cut out on me for the 5th time. I happen to have 2 PCI wireless receivers in my room and I was getting pissed off at the fact that I always cut out. So it lead me to thinking that maybe I can have 2 PCI cards and 2 connections so no matter what I am guaranteed to stay connected.

I have a linksys G54 or something like that and a D-Link WL510 or something like that. Would this work or am I talking from my ass?
 
Hmmm, I seriously need help with this, the current wireless card I use keeps cutting out, but more often then my D-Link card. Can anybody help?
 
You mean have one adapter connected to one access point and the other adapter connected to the other? As long as you setup the IP addressing properly it should work and windows will use whatver one is working properly - I havent actually tried it or heard of anyone else trying it, but dont see why it woudnt work.

So are these access points on the same network I'm assuming?

If so you might not notice much increase in speed but you "could" see more reliability. Sounds good in theory to me. Give it a test.
 
that could work if you have the access points on 2 diffrent channels..
