Ok, so most of you guys in here are all about "video" games, as am I, but now that I'm in college, I have found myself in front of a deck of cards more often than myself infront of my computer/console. When I do find myself in front of cards, its usually with a lot of people, and alcohol is involved.

So I was wondering what drinking games you guys play while drinking. (useing cards or not)

Most of the time I end up playing circle of death and fuck the dealer. If you play something else, please feel free on explaining how the game works. I'm up for learning new drinking games that are fun to play and get you drunk. :D
 
My favorite drinking game would have to be Beirut/Beer Pong. Then quarter bounce.

For cards we usually play waterfall and "Presidents and Assholes".

I believe it's Beirut :p And we just call it quarters. There's also flip cup. You can make anything into a drinking game. If you really want to drink, play Roxanne or one of its variants.
 
Not sure if it's known by another name, but I like to play King's Cup. Toss a deck of cards int he middle of the table and have everyone take turns picking a card. Each card has a different characteristic.

I don't remember many.. but there's one where you make a rule, if you break it you drink, there's the water fall, one you have to start rhyming and everyone else has to rhyme too, etc, etc.
 
i know i played card games, but afterwards i cant seem to remember the rules :rolleyes:
 
High/Low. Someone turns over the top card, and if its you guess if its high/lower than the previous card. If you are wrong, ya drink. Its easy to go through 2-3 beers a deck. lol. Asshole is always fun too.

Yeah it is Beirut, I knew it was spelled funky, but had no idea how, so just went for functionality :p

Flip Cup is fun too. However I've never heard of Roxanne, wtf is that?
 
Ever heard of "bullshit" its where you shuffle the deck and spread the cards out equally to all the players. The object is to discard all the cards in your deck, first one to have no cards is "out" and wins. You start by laying down an ace, next person lays down a 2 and so on. You can lay down as many of the cards as you have in your hand for instance "3 aces" and if someone believes that you aren't laying down aces they say "bullshit" and you have to show them the cards you just layed down. If the cards you layed down were bullshit then you have to pickup the whole pile, if they really were the cards you said, then the person who called you on it has to pickup the whole pile. If one were so inclined they could attempt to laydown their entire hand, and say "one 2" or whatever and if no one calls bullshit then they win. It is an excelllent game to play when your drunk, but it should be ended before there are only 2 people left , because it doesn't work with 2 people.

well. if i want to get moderately hammered, asshole is good. anything more than that. mushroom of death and pyramid rock.

mushroom you sit a can of beer in the middle, and spread all the cards out face down around the beer can. everyone takes turns guessing a color 'black or red' and flipping to see if the card is right. if you're wrong, you drink for the count of the seconds on the card, if you're right- person of your choice drinks for the same. this of course depends how you count.. you could count really quick..or amazingly slow.. or even stop to have a conversation. thats funny until they get to make you drink. then, to top it off you place the card on top of the beer can, two corners off. as you add more and more cards you have to continue to make sure they have 2 corners off of the other cards as well. mushroom = drunk, very drunk.

edit: if it takes a while for someone to knock that can. it gets warmmmmmmmm.

pyramid, you line up 5 rows of cards, 5 on the first row, 4,3,2,1. each row represents a number of seconds. 5=2,4=4,3=6,2=8,1=10. deal each player 5 cards. now flip a card on the lowest level of the pyramid and begin to work your way up. as you flip a card anyone can tell anyone else to drink for the number of seconds x however many of the card showing they claim to have. so on the first row, if its a 6 and they claim to have 2 6's. you'd drink for 4 seconds. thats not bad. of course, they could be lying. so you might want to call bullshit on em. if they call it and can't produce the cards- they drink twice what you were supposed too. if they do produce them, you drink twice. not a gamble many ppl make once you get to 10. if they produce and prove they have the cards, they can discard them and draw however many new cards to get their hand back to 5

What do you mean by this? If you place the cards onto of the can, how would you drink out of it? :confused:

You have a seperate drink. If you trip all the cards over, you have to chug the beer (usually a beer, could be other stuff) underneath.

Flipcup is also fun if you have a lot of people
 
Bullshit is really fun. I recommend beer. Hard liquor and the game doesn't last very long.

Mario Party takes the cake though. It's pretty much you make your own rules, but I played where you drink everytime you get coins. Or buy a star. Or mini-games.

The best way (and the longest lasting) is to drink after the minigames, the losers drink, and you drink whenever you get a star.

Try it, I promise it's fun.

Though prepare for lots of hilarity with drunken 21-24 year olds playing mario party.

You don't drink the can that cards being stacked on until the cards fall off the can. Whoever makes them fall off has to drink it.

If I'm looking to puke = "Chandaliers"
Beer Pong if anyone has ping-pong balls
Lately been playing colored Jenga... each color represents a certain amount of given drinks
If we're playing Domino's we'll normally add the game "Fvck" to it..
Fvck the Dealer sometimes
Ride the Schoolbus is a good one to get someone fkd
 
My favorite is not origianally a 'drinking' game- 'Bong 99', rules are loosely similar to UNO.

Roxanne is listening to the song Roxanne by the Police/Sting and every time he says Roxanne, you take a sip. Trust me it's not easy (somewhat dependent on how big your sip is). You can do this with any other repetitive song as well, just choose a line or word. It's also fun to play Roxanne in 2 groups. One group drinks on Roxanne and the other drinks on 'Red Light.'

It doesn't require alcohol, just a large container of some drink. Make sure you and your friends aren't sick. Feel free to spike the soda or something, but it is normally great to have it really nasty tasting so people try to get away from the bottle. We normally play while watching a movie or playing cards (especially Mau). Although if alcohol is involved, Mau will probably not be very easy to play.
 
Quarters was always the perennial favorite and "Bob"

the rules to Bob are simple,
however actually finding a station that broadcasts the Bob Newhart show isnt :p

Good song. One of my housemates was a big AC/DC fan, and after the drinking games he would put on one of their songs and start moshing by himself. One time he was jumping up and down so hard that the ceiling light in the apartment below us fell off the ceiling. That was pretty funny. :p

Here is the simple rules...

Take 13 of you favorite beers, each can/bottle represents a number (i.e. 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K,A).
The game is played like this, start with the person next to the dealer, flip a card and put it under its corresponding beer. That person has to take "a sip" it can be as big or as small as they want. The next person gets the next card, its placed under the corresponding beer, and they take their "sip." Again its as small or large as they want.

Okay the game plays out this way, until the fourth card for a beer is given, that person has to finish the beer. So that is where the amount of "sips" matter. If every one took a little bit the last person is screwed. If everyone was generous, then he has just a little left.
Its best to play this with only 4-6 players or if more are present you have to play the game more than once (or see my next game).
(NOTE: With 4 players, and each drinking a equal share, thats 3.25 beers per player in the 15 minutes it takes to play this game.)

Here is another card game that is fun, but I cant remember the name.
Every player gets 4 cards. The rest are set up in a pyramid, with 1 card, then 2 cards, then 3 cards and so on. How many levels of the pyramid will depend on the number of players. If you have 6 players it works perfect, with 7 layers.
For the sake of argument lets say its 1,2,3,4,5,6,7....
7 is "give 4"
6 is "take 4"
5 is "give 6"
4 is "take 6"
3 is "give 8"
2 is "take 8"
1 is "give, finish your beer"

A card is flipped from the 7 row, if you have that card (i.e. they flip a Jack and you have a Jack) you get to give out 4 sips. You can divide it up if you want. This continues until the 7 row (the "give 4" row is finished) Then its row 6 and "take 4" If a card that matches yours is flipped, you have to "take 4" sips. And so on and so forth.
Its best to divide your "gives" up, other wise someone who gets "give 8" will get you back for making them "take 4." Row 1 is self explanitory. If you get it, you get to make somone finish their beer. Also if you are given 2 Jacks and a Jack is flipped you have to do double the corresponding row (if its "take" your fucked, if its "give" you better hope the fourth Jack is not in a "take row"
NOTE: I consider there to be about 8 sips in your typical canned beer. So you will have to have multiple beers for each person.

These 2 games above are hardcore drinking games with no skill involved. Their only reason for existence is to get you drunk.
 
I'm going to have to say Kings Cup. Nothing's funnier than a dozen drunken rhyming fools :D
