Is there any way to disable hyperthreading in windows 10 outside of the BIOS? I have this HP laptop that I spent a good chunk of change on and the BIOS doesn't let you configure a damn thing. HP hasn't provided any BIOS updates regarding the numerous sidechannel attacks.

It's really not worth it if you only have security concerns. I'm not sure if software disabling of cores would affect that either way.

Seriously, disabling threads due to violations? Damn Intel are going down like a B17 over Bremen

Later vulns are primarily Intel ones. AMD has always been kind of less vulnerable overall.
And nowadays almost all of us do banking or some kind of money management (or other work related data that our money depends on) on their computers unless it's about a machine purely made for gaming and amusement.
