DirectX 10 Cards?

emulation? not possible since teh directx 10 dev kit hasnt been release yet.

No, you're wrong. The DirectX SDK has had a community tech preview of the D3D10 API in basically its final state since last december, and many elite devs and MVPs have had it for even longer. For now, they are just using emulation.

in a nuttshell... yes

but overall... you are kinda missing the point. I'd suggest you go do some reading about what directx 10 offers, and how it is different from directx9

DX10 isn't just adding "features" like dx9 did.... it isn't like that this time...
I think you missed the point. I didnt say one thing about the details of DX10. MY POINT was that DX10 is not the only reason to wait on the new cards. If you already have a good card then I would wait on the new cards even if you dont plan on getting Vista when its released. I wish people would understand that these new cards(G80 and R600) are going to blow away any current video card in DX9. Being DX10 compatible is just an additional reason to wait on the next generation of cards.
