i love that soo much, it even has a uv kit or something in it to glow under a uv, so it has my three ultimate dreams, nforce4, sli, and uv board. This is socket 939 correct?

What's with the 4-pin molex just above the PCIE slots on the DFI?
 
Prolly for power from psu to Vid. cards? Definately needs a powerful psu. Hmm, 700W.psu+mobo+(2) 6800Ultras=$$$$ :p

Maybe DFI will be the first company to start supporting the use of bigger fanned tornados directly on therir motherboards.

That makes sense, but I thought PCIE was supposed to supply lots more power than AGP; plus newer videocards hook right into the power supply anyway.

I agree, though, it's a very nice board.
 
Too bad it's coming in February-March'ish timeframe. I'm not sure I can wait that long. It is a nice board and right now DFI's position is on the top of the list in my views, but the damn release date is too far off when you know that MSI's releasing next month and Asus/Gigabyte is probably not going to skip December for their launch either.

I don't remember when Abit is releasing their products, anyone know?
 
Abit should be something close I would hope. Maybe we will get lucky and they can release the DFI earlier. I dont have any computer right now, just a work laptop. Never got around to RMA'ing my NF7-S back. I can wait. I have come this far.
 
This will probably be my motherboard when I go sli, if it is anything like the NForce 3 Lanparty 250gb
 
Does anyone know if DFI is making any nForuce 4 boards without SLI? Oh would I like to get my hands on one of those... :p

So far, the only SLI board that I know of is the Asu A8N-SLI. I wish they would hurry up and have some nForce 4 boards before the end of the year. :(

Asus also uses the plug above the PCI-express slots, its for a more direct and cleaner power to the video cards, so the power doesn't have to travel from one side of the mobo to the other.

Makes sense, I'm sure it'll be good for OC'ing and it's probably good for stability if ASUS is doing it (forcing an extra connect on the OEM district isn't something I think they'd do at the drop of a dime).

Interesting layout of the DIMMs on the DFI board though, that horizontal setup... Like MSI did on their NF3 Neo series. It helps airflow on some cases imo.
