Hi.

I have a refurbed DFI Lanparty nF4 SLI-DR that did not come with the Karajan Audio module.

In the bios, I have the AC97 audio turned on, however, in windows, it says there are no sound cards detected. There is not even an "unknown sound device" or whatever. I've jumpered both the Realtek audio and Nvidia audio. No luck.

Is the module necessary for S/PDIF audio output? the S/PDIF RCA jacks are on the board, but not working. I really just want the S/PDIF to work.

Thanks

it seemed that DFI sold that module for $20 shipped i think . don't know if they still have any on hand though. you might contact dfi support and see.

Better off getting a cheap Soundblaster than paying extra for an onboard solution, especially for gaming.
