DFI Infinity vs Ultra D

main disadvantage is that less people own the infinity and can't recommend first hand experience where the ultra d is a very popular board and vice versa. I'd go for the ultra d and if sli is needed mod the chipset to sli. this time around they did 2 completely different boards (placement of almost everything is different) unlike the nforce 2 boards where it was all just a different color. Not to say the infinity is a bad board, you'd just have more support options with the ultra-d

its a refurb. if you dont need the high vdimm voltages offered by the ultra d, and dont mind the small diff in onboard sound, get the infinity. if you run utt or bh5, get the ultra d.

if you notice his original post he was also looking at a refurb infinity

thanks for the help guys. I currently have a used ultra D I am interested in, but may end up going with the infinity anyways.

Thanks
