dfi bios flash??

I can't boot from my hd, but cd boots just fine. I have a dfi ultra infinity board, should I flash my bios?? (When no cd's are in the drive, it loads 'nvidia boot agent' or something like that instead of grub)
 
is your hard drive mode set to LBA in the bios? does it show up in the bios? is it IDE or sata? jumpered correctly?
