this doesnt really have anything to do with computers really. I couldnt think of a better forum where someone might know how to do this. I have some wire, quite a bit really but it is magnetized and i dont want to be. How would i go about demagnetizing it? is there any foolproof way?

also when i say wire i mean like just the wire, no insolation or anything. I tried google but nothing.

edit: i found this site http://www.zephyrus.co.uk/demagnetizing.html

how hot do you think i would need to get it?

iron wire? what is it made of?

you can usaly demagnitize stuff by banging on it with a hammer or heating it up with a propane torch...

but do you meen that a magnet is pulled to the wire? or that the wire atracts stuff by iteself? because if it is ferous there is no way to make it not atracted by magnets
