Hello,
I am going to purchase a laptop. I dont want to spend over 3k. I would like at least a 15.4 inch screen. Below is a laptop I priced out at Dell. Anyone have any experiences with this or would recommend another lappy? Thanx. I will predominantly be using this for coding, compiling, some travel, maybe a bit light gaming..

It doesn't seem anybody owns any of the dell business models, I'm looking into the d620. They look like nice laptops.
 
I've used both the D620 and D820. Both are very good, I'd recommend the 620 over the 820 based on the weight and portability, but if you have to have a 15 inch screen, go for it. As for the price, seems a little steep, you might want to look around for some coupons or friends that get EPP before purchasing.
 
I have a D800 (older model of what you are looking at, same formfactor) and it is a great machine. Very solidly build, good keyboard, bright screen, haven't had any reliability problems.
