Has anyone here gone to DEFCON?

I'm planning to go to Vegas soon and im not sure if scheduling for when DEFCON is in town or not that weeks (since booking is more expensive).

In other words, is it worth it as a spectator :confused:
 
Depends on what you want to do. A lot of the talks are pretty good, a lot aren't, it depends on what your interests are, etc...

I try to go every year, to see what's out there, and what other hackers are focusing on.

And the reason Defcon was that week, is it's hotter than hell outside, so usually the hotels are cheap.

DEF CON 22 will be August 7-10, 2014 at the Rio Hotel and Casino!

Then DEFCON 23 HERE I COME! (yeah have plans for this year already lol) Im trying to join a local chapter so i can get more info prior to going there
