Lately I've been thinking of installing 6-8 cameras around my house, mostly just for fun but for the added security bonus as well. Just wondering if other members have attempted the same thing and what they like/dislike/would do differently with a similar system. I'd imagine large amounts of hard drive space is a high priority but will high end processors/ram and GPU's also be as important? What software is there to choose from and are there other security features that others are implementing (motion, heat...?) Just want to see what others have come up with or possibly hear stories of things you may have seen.
