DDR5 when?

As far as the AMD platform is concerned it will likely be 2021 or 2022, AMD has officially announced it will skip the next Ryzen generation. As far as the Intel platform is concerned, it could be as early as next year. Who knows. You can always count on Intel to do everything in it's power to force adoption of new memory types (RAMBUS anyone?). I suspect, however, that Intel will release their new platforms in both (if they add support for DDR5 at all).
