DD-WRT Strange Problem

I just upgraded my WRT54G v6 to the dd-wrt 24sp1 micro generic and am having a very strange problem.

I can connect to the router via wireless no problem but I cannot connect to the router via wired at all. Even manually putting in the ip in my pc does not allow me access into it.

Wired worked great before I upgraded to dd-wrt.

Any ideas?

Try using sp2 or using one of the more recent TNG releases. Also try doing a 30/30/30 reset.

Are you using the dd-wrt router to do DHCP or do you have another router/modem doing DHCP?

I have installed DD-WRT into a few different routers, and never had a problem with the wired networking. Are you entering the subnet, gateway, and dns when manually assigning your computer an IP address?

Yes I have it set as dhcp and it is the only router.

I have tried setting the pc up as dhcp and also manually with no go. I can't even ping it wired.

With my netbook wirelessly I can ping it though.

Not on the wired computer but the wireless I am.

Yes I tried the netbook on the wired, same problem.

There are still plenty of issues with DD-WRT v24 and WRT54G... I have a v8 and had so many issues after upgrading I had to move to something. I actually moved to a p3 800mHz box with 512mb, and just added a second NIC, and ran pfsense on it. pfsense is extremely easy to setup, and so much more robust and stable than dd-wrt. If you have an old machine laying around, I'd suggest giving that a try on pfsense and just switch DD-WRT on your 54G to do only wireless for the network.
