just recently this started happening, basically if i right click on any file, or highlight a file and try to do any type of action like ctrl+c, shift+del, del, etc i get an error that says
DAX Error: Access violation at address 02A71B86 in module 'EXTRAC~1.DLL'. Write of address 74655320

now i can still copy the files or delete or whatever, i just have to click OK on that error message every time, it's certainly annoying, but doesn't seem to really cause anything not to function properly....

anyone ever seen a similar DAX error?

also, right clicking on the desktop and stuff doesn't cause it, just right clicking on files.

Delphi ActiveX? Can't say that I've ever heard of DAX before. Though it looks like it's attached to a particular file. If you've run all the standard spyware / etc, the only other pointers I saw on a quick search is to make sure windows is fully updated.
