Basically I want to know everyone's basic system setup (cpu/board/video/ram) and what kind of performance your getting in FPS at whatever resolution and settings you use.

Reason i'm asking is because I (and probably everyone else) want to see exactly how this game runs on different configurations. I'm also curious if my computer is even going to be able to run it (And hopefully find someone that has a setup close to mine to compare it too.)

So let's see those numbers!

Btw, my system..
Abit NF7-s 2.0
Barton 2500+
Geforce 3 233/500
512mb pc3200 ram

I think the processor will be fine, but I have my doubts about the video card :(

SPECS:

XP2100 @ 2GHZ
512MB DDR PC2100
Radeon 9800PRO @ 425/356
No aa/af on all tests.

DOOM3 TIMEDEMO DEMO1 SCORES:

34.4 @800x600 medium (4.8 cats)
34.2 @1024x768 medium (4.8 cats)
34.4 @800x600 high (4.8 cats)

34.2 @640x480 low (4.9 cats)
34.4 @640 480 medium (4.9 cats)
34.2 @800x600 medium (4.9 cats)
33.9 @1024x768 medium (4.9 cats)
22.8 @1600x1200 medium (4.9 cats)
34.0 @800x600 high (4.9 cats)

get about 24 fps @ 1024 and medium detail. with shadows off. check specs in sig.

2.66B @ 3.0 ghZ, 150 fsb
1024MB Geil 1:1 with FSB, 2-2-2-5 timings
128 MB 9800 pro, 256-bit @ just under 9800 XT speeds
120GB Seagate, 8MB cache

1024x768, High quality settings, Shadows on

I get between 42 and 52 FPS, depending on the area, etc.

The cool thing is though, with Doom III running, in game, and several background apps running, I'm still at only a little over 512 MB RAM usage. So, it seems, Doom III isn't a RAM hog at all (compared to FarCry anyway)

Timedemo1: 40.8 FPS with the specs in my sig. Without the card being overclocked and using High settings @ 1024x768 with everything on and no AA, 4.9 Cat's.

1280x1024, High Quality, 2xAA
Timedemo1, 53.3

Suprisingly i'm running at 1024x768, high settings.
I only have the GeForce 4 TI4200.
I'm sure it'll slow down when i get to some big action, but so far it's running good.

P4 3.0E gig
512 Geil Memory
GeForce 4 TI4200 128mb

Do you have any advanced settings disabled? If not, once you fight some monsters, your FPS will drop to the single digits without a doubt. I couldn't play the game with it looking so choppy.

Asus P4P800 Deluxe

With rig in sig, Cat 4.9 Beta, running demo1, high quality, no AA, vsync off, video card at 508 core / 1056 mem:

1024x768: 71.5
1280x1024: 61.8
1600x1200: 49.9

So my processor is 107.5 MHz faster than the HardOCP AGP test system (from the first review), I have 1 GB less RAM but it is running at 220.5 MHz vs. 200 MHz, and my video card is 12 MHz slower on the core and 64 MHz slower on the memory, but I get exactly the same scores as them. Finding such an equivalent has made me feel special. :)

Run Doom 3 on 1280x1024 with High Quality and everything turned on besides AA/AF and it runs 40-60FPS constant.

BTW I didnt build my rig just for this game, it was time for me to get a new one and I decided to .... splurge a bit. I have not tried the Cat 4.9 BETAs yet as I hear they improve performance a good deal in Doom 3.Anyone tried them out yet on an x800 series card?

System in sig with 1024x768 medium detail. Set seta image_roundDown to 0.

I'm using my Radeon 9800 Pro 4.9 cats(392/355mhz)

Average FPS: 45.3

It dips to 7fps a few times during the timedemo though, very annoying.
