• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

Custom Windows login/ons?

Do some searching on hacking uxthemes.dll. I'd avoid any installed theme managers and do it by hand. I have seen some screwey stuff with window blinds and their ilk.

does anyone know where or how to create or download diffrent windows bootup/login screens?

I used to use different boot screens until I upgraded to SP2, when the process to use them changed slightly I think. That or SP2's install just replaced everything with the original files.

Here are some links about modifying your own.

You can download premodified bootscreens from places like wincustomize I think.

As for the login screen, I've changed it too, but I forget the process and what links I read.

I don't like using custom welcome screens or boot screens because when there is a problem (common) it's very tough to undo. Use the recovery console to change the uxtheme.dll file to a hacked version, and then you can use Visual Styles with no added software.
