You get them for admitting here that after getting into an argument, you stupidly emailed your boss and company co-founder, who was best friends with your company's owner, while being so arrogant that you don't realize that you've been training your replacements for the past year, this one-line sentence:

"Darrin, I've been doing this longer than you."

And then someone here has to make fun of you.

Not unlike earning a promotion to unemployed.

It was inevitable. Imagine telling Hank Hill, "Propane is good and all, but don't you think we should start selling charcoal?"

Who is Kyle anyway. Just joined the forum this year, I know nothing outside of it being a forum. I see some HardOCP site, but it seems pretty sparse

[H]ard|OCP.com was a hardware review site from the late 1990's until about 2018 if I recall correctly. It was primarily known for motherboard, GPU, and CPU reviews back in the day. Though it occasionally had reviews of other things on there like full OEM system reviews. Unlike TomsHardware or Anandtech, everything the [H] did had a gaming slant to it. That is, evaluating things based on how the hardware impacted the gaming experience.

Hardocp.com is one of the many sites to shutdown in the wake of all the advertising money going towards YouTubers and social media influencers. It was also the last independently owned major site that I know of. Anandtech and Tom's Hardware were all bought out by media conglomerates who crapped up the pages with excessive advertising.

Kyle Bennet is the owner and Editor in Chief of the site. He's also the guy who owns the forums.

Those detailed motherboard reviews were comfort food for me (though the reviewer himself was an odd duck).

Don't come on too strong... Ol' Bennett will name you 'Coitus' or something terrible.
