I'm about 5 hours into the game, just bought it quite recently.
Anyhoo, the game obviously looks amazing. The sound is absolutely top-notch. It's definitely very freaky and breathes excellent atmosphere, plays well and the story (while minimalist) is quite engaging, but...
And there's the but
I feel like I've been running around the same level for the last 5 hours! Well, perhaps that's pushing it quite far... I'm @ Enpro at the moment and I just don't feel enough variation in the environments. The short steps outside on the planet's surface were a great breath of fresh air (and strange as that may sound), and the consistantly changing (and excellent) level design does keep me going, but I still feel like I need MORE variation!
Anyways, if the game persists with the whole dark corridor feel, I can live with that. It's gotten me this far.
But someone who's beat the game, please tell me it changes more than it has thus far! I'm certainly hoping the trip to hell will spice things up, but I fear that it'll be a very short detour...
So... as I play, I continue to hope.
