First and foremost i am not sure if this is the correct area for this post if it is not my bad.
I am currently a high school junior thinking about what to study in college and the 2 majors i am considering are computer science and computer engineering. I am going on the assumption that computer engineering is physical hardware and computer science is more programming related. Is this true???
What kind of jobs would a computer engineering major do opposed to a computer science major?
I have an interest in both and am currently taking AP compSci AB(the second ap computer class) and scored a 5 on the compSci A test. I have a small background in electronics(assembling computers and little projects). Any feedback from college experiences in those majors would be appreciated. Also I'd love some recomendations on some colleges to look at. I live in virginia and so the 2 state schools i am considering are virginia tech and george mason. Anyone attending either of those or recentely graduated these?
thanks in advance
