CS Source Rocks!!

Source is good, but not ready for big time competition like the older 1.6.

I like BF2 as well...but it will never be the tournament game that others are due to its more casual style.

IMO BF2 has a bigger Anger/Revenge factor then CSS. CounterStrike in general you can easily kick 20ppls asses at once or get owned by 20 ppl, CSS doesn't make me mad at all, bf2 does tho...

I'd definately agree with this statement. I am sure some people hate the game for those reasons. I just get sick of all the CS !!!!!!s who can't accept people making comments about the game they don't agree with always saying that it sucks because someone sucks at it.

Personally, the games repetition does nothing for me. The game was entertaining for awhile back in 1999 when it was somewhat original, but now its the same re-hashed shit from 1999 and I don't enjoy it. Personally I don't understand why it is so popular. Other than my basic understanding of the sheep-like mentality of the general populace. Where it has become herecy to say that CS sucks. Some of us believe that it does. For no other reason than it is simply not enjoyable to us.

Mining Control Points? Repairing vehicles? Bombing main spawns? And let's keep in mind that the most popular internet game, WoW, consists of nothing but fighting, finding funds and eventually getting better weapons and powers than everybody else so that you can go back and kill the same monsters another 1,000 times. The main purpose of the game is to pay $15 a month for the privilege to kill things over and over just so you can eventually be powerful enough to kill things easier. Hell, it's like a real-life simulator, with weird names and more physical conflict.

Just because those games offer more things to do repetitively, doesn't make them less repetitive. I'm not trying to say either of those games are bad, but calling an internet game repetitive is a bit of a cop out, I think.

Played CS when it was beta..enjoyed it. I enjoyed it all the way up to 1.3 I believe it was. Everything after 1.3 pretty much sucked..sure I still played but I didnt have enough fun.
CS Source on the other hand is a ton of fun for me the only gripe I still have about it is with the AK you let loose and you some how manage to shoot the floor the ceiling walls etc with little effort but never WTF you're aiming at..but hey that first shot is accurate tho.
I just really wish theyd tighten up the AK a little bit.

I don't like those games. Well I like BF2, except I only play it on lan. By myself its gotten repetative. Wow and games like it are super repetative and the quests are always lame. I am into Guild Wars at the moment, but once I've played through the story, and I've done PVP for a little while I'll probably be done with it. Even FPS's tire me out. Usually what will keep me playing the same games over and over again, is mods, maps, skins and other add ons that give me something new to do. After that, they hit the shelf and I won't touch them for awhile.

Yes there are annoying little kids that play and throw out inane racial cursewords every time they get shot in the face, but on my clan's server we ban them and move on with life. When I play on other servers, it's places where that kind of nonsense isn't permitted.

I never understood exactly why it was removed from the game. It came in very hand in certain situations. But then again it also did slow down CS a bit and wasnt as fast paced. But some of the situations you could set up with the sheild infront were extremely cool. And if you knew how to take them out they sheild person wasnt to hard to kill.

Like I said, if you choose to play on a server where the admins/mods are non-existent, then you're probably not as bright as you think you are.

Couldnt' agree more. There a fair amount of servers that have great followings with Admins/Mods that keep things fun and enjoyable.

The only difficult part is finding these.

actually source hitboxes are awful and theres no interp command anymore in source so GG....inferno and most of the remakes looks like complete garbage...and the source engine isnt all that great for mods and such.If they were to update it a little more maybe

btw vac2 is a joke...you know how easy it is to get cheats?.....real easy thats hows...it almost reminds me of 1.3 days where if you didnt cheat you were a scrub.

stick with 1.6 at least the realism is there but the hl1 engine is still not yet at perfection they need to at least fix some netcode.

We've banned everyone that comes to our server with those pathetic myg0t hacks. The most common ones are the wall and aimbot hacks. Admins catch them in a few rounds and they're booted.

Try playing BF2 with all in game settings maxed and control panel set to high quality. That's how I play. Source can be pretty, but BF is just so much more.
