Can you put two cards in crossfire if they are not exactly the same?

I bought my 5770 card on Newegg, and was going to buy another identical one, but they no longer carry it.

If I bought another 5770, either from the same, or different manufacturer, that had the same specs, or similiar specs, would this work?
