Hey guys; I was wondering if any of you knew much abou the Audigy 2 ZS drivers and how to set some options without opening their control panels. I have a 5.1 speaker setup on the digital DIN, and some headphones on the front speaker jack. A lot of the time, I like to have stereo surround CMSS on when i'm using speakers. If I switch to headphones, this option disappears, so it assumes I want the other upmix effects when I switch back to speakers. Do any of you know how to set some of the settings outside of the control panel creative provides?

Ultimately, I'd like to have a program that lets you set sound profiles with and easy to use interface, but none such is available. An example of a couple profiles would be: (1) 5.1 Speakers, Stereo Surround CMSS centered at 0%, (2) Headphones, No CMSS.
It would be nice if they could be hotkeyed, or at least bind hotkeys to certain speaker setups and CMSS configs. For example: shift-f5 through shift-f8 for the different CMSS options, and shift-f9 through shift-f12 for different speaker configurations. This could probably done in a somewhat ghetto way by using keyboard or remote software to execute files on button press if I knew how to create a file that would switch the speaker setup.

Anyway, I appreciate any help. If noone knows how to do this, I might have to try the mediasource sound converter to try to convert some of my music collection to 5.1... Or be angry forever; one or the other. And as a last question: are there any soundcards that to dolby digital live or other upmix on a digital din connection in realtime?

I don't have any suggestions of my own, but I do second the need for such software. People are always complaining about Creative's crappy software, yet no one has actually come up with a viable replacement. I could imagine that there would be lots of demand for an Audigy program similar to what ATITool does for ATI cards.

I was thinking more along the lines of speaker profiles and hotkeys so I don't have to open up another window to change the settings. The profile thing would be nice - so you don't have to set each setting individually. Profile 1 might be 5.1, Stereo Surround CMSS, with some EAX effect; while Profile 2 might be headphones, no CMSS, and a different EAX effect. Get where I'm going with this? It would be nice to be able to change several settings in one swoop for groups of settings you regularly use. I have zero programming experience, so I'm not sure how hard something like this would be, but it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult, provided one could find out the calls needed to make the card switch settings or perform certain functions.

Anyone want to help me out here?
