I have to support my mother's Vista PC remotely, and I use a combination of Logmein, Skype for that purpose.

But what would really help is if there was a way that everytime my mother rebooted her machine, her account would be the same.

Same Apps, Icons in same place, Vista Sidebar the same (yes it is a Vista laptop).

Sort or like how they do it in Libraries and other public pcs.

Anyway to do this with jst windows policies, or something? Ot a tool?

I thought of installing VMWare with Snapshots, but that seems overkill.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I was going to suggest SteadyState but MS discontinued support for it. You might be able to use Group Policy to lock certain things down, though that doesn't actually reset the machine.

Returnil (http://www.returnilvirtualsystem.com/) offers a free home version of its software (it is like SteadyState or DeepFreeze).
