i have cool edit pro 2.0, and im sure that it can do what i want it to do...but im not sure how...so i wonder if anyone knew how to take a song and make the speed that it plays faster...thanks for anyone who can help
 
You can get great help for Cool Edit Pro on the adobe.com forums. Adobe bought Cool Edit and made it into Adobe Audition. But the Adobe forums still support Cool Edit users.

In Edit View go to Effects > Time/Pitch > Stretch and you can speed things up in the dialog box that appears.
