I was just wondering what methods you have for checking what availability of the famed xbox in various stores ?

Do you just call them and ask 'Whens the next shipment, and are any of them not pre-ordered?'

Thanks for any help in advance.
 
I can walk into almost any store and get an Xbox. The Xbox 360's are hard to come by for most people though.

I call, check online ( http://xbox.clambert.org/ ), and visit the stores around me.
 
Calling is a bad idea, they'll turn you down and/or lie. Take the time to occasionally drive to as many stores as possible. I've heard countless success stories from those that drive in.
 
True. I had forgotten about the Target store that lied to me. I called them and asked if they had any, they said no, then 15 minutes later I was near there paying a bill and wanted to stop there and get a CD. Walked out with a Core System for my brother.
