Hey guys, for some reason yesterday out of the blue my itunes streaming radio stops working, as well as my aim, both disconnect. Its not that they didn't work from the start they were fine and then in the middle of a song they all stopped. The only software change was that i installed a Texas instruments graphing calculator software, but it was fine for about 2-3 hrs after i installed that software. Furthermore i couldn't go to certain websites like aim.com. I could go to google, and i could log onto msn messenger. I thought maybe it was a firewall device that was blocking it. so i disable all the firewalls no go. I had enough of the trial norton internet security that came with the laptop so i un-installed that. That seemed to work. for a bit. Then, i was surfing around the internet and the computer freezes. I force a shutdown by holding the power button down. When i get back into windows i can't get onto aim, but i can go to aim.com. I've tried 3 versions of AIM, 6.8 the latest, it says connection error, 5.9 says it can't connect. Msn works though. I even tried downloading trillian... no go it says Error while connecting (Error Code: 0). Disconnecting.
Any ideas? cause i'm stumped.

This is running on vista btw.

So, I decided to try to get this thing started, i went into safemode with networking and try it. it worked!
I decided to go back to regular mode but with none of the start up processes. and it stopped working again =\

Any ideas?
I turned off norton, and all of systematic devices and nothing changed =\

check your network setting and see if DNS in TCP/IP is automatic.
