computer locks up

every once ina while my comp locks up these are my specs

Msi 849 neo p mobo
2.8ghz P4
gig of ram (one stick of samsung 512 one stick of legecy 512)
ATi 9500 Pro(soon to be replaced with a 9800se)
WD 100GB HDD (replaced it with a seagate 120GB HDD thinking it was hte HDD causeing it)
lite on DVD burner
Win XP Pro SP2

at first i thought it was teh HD, still did it, so i figured it was overheating(hada nice coating of drywall dust from our remodeling) cleaned it, while my temps did drop nicely it still locks up

after hearing about Event Viewer i saw these errors that came up about hte time of mu last lock up

Windows saved user WHOOP-ASS-INC\Renswic registry while an application or service was still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no longer in use.

This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring the services to run in either the LocalService or NetworkService account.

It may be a virus/worm that's trying to attack remote machines which is a possible reason why you're getting the TCP/IP error messages. Restart your computer into "Safe Mode with Networking" and search your computer for viruses with housecall's online virus scanner. Run a memory test to see if you're having problems with your RAM.

ok i rebooted in safemode with networking, but i couldnt use teh net to get to that link, so i ran advast and it came clean, tried getting mem test but it only DLs ISO files?
 
you burn a cd using a image file, dont actually burn the iso where the cd contains <filename>.iso when you open in explorer.
