What does this do, that is an improvement over existing solutionslike Nikon's VR, Canon's IS ?

Is it significantly cheaper, smaller or more effective than previous solutions?

Otherwise reading this thread is sort of like me posting something about a genius new prototype video card that - believe it or not - can actually accelerate 3d!!!

I don't think the sensing technology is that different from the in-body shake reduction technology in some brands of DSLRs. Heck, it's probably not that different than the in-lens shake reduction in canon and nikon lenses.

The thing is there is no electromagnetically shifted CCD, or optical element. Just some software processing. All you need are a couple of decent accelerometers in the camera and a processor. Good, small accelerometers are pretty cheap these days.

I think the results of their works are still pretty sub-par if you look at the results.
